"They include the quality of the service, their dependability, their insurance coverage, including worker's compensation and of course the price." There is a tremendous range in the quality level of service provided. You will find companies who simply come in, cut the yard and leave. That's only half the job. "This protects you in the event of an accident," he said. "You should ask for proof of insurance in written form. "Price of course, is also a major factor. There is a wide range of prices companies charge for these services. Be wary of a price that is too low, " Landers said. "If they are exceptionally low, chances are they are either without worker's compensation or insurance and probably both," Landers said. "You are most likely to get the best value from a service located in the same general area who has crews which specialize in lawn cutting. Companies that do lawn cutting only as a sideline generally charge more to recoup their investment, " Landers said. "The key to selecting a good service is asking the right questions up front," Landers said. "This can save you a lot of problems down the line, like unexpected and unwarranted charges, " he said. "However, if you keep in mind these few simple questions when selecting a service, you may find that having a professional lawn cutting service is one of the best decisions and investments you ever made." |
